CONTEXT
RTL Belgium wanted AGILEmaker to help it redefine its mission by making it meaningful and supported by an ambitious vision and strong values.
This initiative was born out of the many changes currently facing the media sector: competitors are no longer just national but also global, the way of people consume media and get information has changed significantly, advertisers are looking for hyper-targeting, all the professions of the sector are being redefined, etc. This context of change induces questioning and, as part of the transformation plan implemented within RTL Belgium, many employees have echoed this. Who are we, where are we going, etc., these are some of the questions that have come up time and time again. It soon became clear that the pillars needed to be redefined.
APPROACH
We were able to mobilise 60 people from RTL Belgium through nine workshops in a real bottom-up approach. This work, which was carried out transversally by a large number of employees, was fully supported by the Management Committee. Developing the statements required reflection, exchange, discussion and listening using agile, cooperative, innovative or even playful methods. This resulted in the presentation of the new mission, vision and values of the company to all RTL Belgium employees by the project ambassadors themselves. Appropriation workshops then began within the departments to discuss the different ways of embodying these values on a daily basis and to carry out a strategic and practical reflection aimed at setting up concrete future actions.
