In order to increase its efficiency and the impact of the services it delivers, GSK Vaccines' communication team wanted to test the agile approach.
The main challenge for this department was to increase collaboration between its members, who were used to working in silos, in order to better synchronise and thus increase their overall impact. A second challenge was to test the agile approach in an environment unfamiliar with project mode management. The aim was to change the mindset towards a "delivery" mode.
The approach adopted was to move forward at the team's speed, focusing primarily on changing mindset rather than introducing agile methods.
After identifying the main needs, we started with a few meetings to start the transformation. We then moved on to more methodology as needs emerged and the mindset took hold.
Today, after the success of this team, the whole department is starting its transformation on the same basis.
